FAQ

Which trend does ₿ull Board use?

Two models, one board. Use Trend Type to pick SMA (Sensitive by default) or Adaptive. Bias and the level column (SMA level or Flip level) both follow that choice on the board, tiles, and charts.

SMA level
Softer cloud edge

Marks the edge of the trend cloud. A quick dip under it does not confirm a new trend until the cloud itself turns.

Adaptive Flip level
Line in the sand

A hard invalidation: when price closes through it, bias flips.

Default Trend Type is SMA · Sensitive. Switch to Adaptive anytime to use the Volatility-Adaptive line for both bias and Flip level.

What is Flip level / SMA level?

Adaptive Flip level is a hard line in the sand — when price closes through it, the trend flips. SMA level is smoother: it marks the edge of the trend cloud, and price can briefly poke past it without confirming a new trend until the SMAs cross. The board column label switches with Trend Type.

How do SMA and Adaptive differ?

Structural Comparison
Feature Simple Moving Average (SMA)
Default bias
Volatility-Adaptive
Weighting / Speed Equal weight to all periods; fixed lag. Scales dynamically based on current market volatility.
Line Behavior Smooth, continuous average overlaying the price. Trailing stop-and-reverse line flipping above/below price.
Primary Use Identifying macro trend direction. Generating explicit buy/sell flip signals and stop levels.

In short: SMA tells you which way the trend is leaning; Adaptive tells you where it turns.
